Advanced Placement Calculus, also known as AP Calculus, is traditionally taken after Precalculus. The course itself is divided into two courses: Calculus AB and Calculus BC.
Calculus AB, the more common of the courses and a prerequisite to Calculus BC, focuses on derivatives(A) and integration(B). Calculus BC focuses on integration(B) and series(C).
“Most four-year colleges in North America and colleges in more than 60 other countries give students credit, advanced placement or both on the basis of AP Exam scores”
